Nationalism

The reason i mostly stopped watching football.

National teams tournaments, i do not remember the last time i saw a match.

I live in Portugal, not my country of birth, and plenty of Portuguese hate me for not pandering to their national pride regarding football, although I am not a football fan.

To some who would ask, always indirectly ( it seems to occur not to them - that i do not care about sports at all ), why i am not happy with their team ( which is a stupid thing to think ), i ask : Portuguese migrants do cheer their national team, without the natives feeling contempt, why should i behave the way you want me to?
To this day, the answers have been … - A proof that nationalism is poison.
