I remember a bricklayer at a construction site under the construction firm SanJose in Saldanha (Pingo Doce, Rua da Graça Nº 100), who shouted Bofia, smiling at a police officer on the site. The officer did not ignore him, brooding he quipped —And you are a Nigger (Preto).
The bricklayer (perhaps he was an assistant, I am no longer sure) laughed in agreement.
Ignorance is Bliss!
