Shanghai to São Paulo: I flew 18,500km to find Chinese stories in Brazil's biggest city

Today marks the 50th anniversary of official relations between China and Brazil, so I decided to head to South America and check out three of Brazil's most famous cities: São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro.

This is CHAPTER ONE of my three part series, where I fly 18,500 kilometers from Shanghai to São Paulo, Brazil's largest city, to find some local and Chinese stories.

China and Brazil officially entered relations on August 15, 1974 – exactly 50 years ago today.

I met so many new friends during my trip to São Paulo, and I hope you enjoy my journey too!
