This explosive new report exposes the criminal responsibility of the US government in Gaza.
Israel has killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who defended Lebanon's sovereignty, helped to defeat ISIS and Al-Qaeda, protected Christians, and fought against Israeli colonialism and military occupation. Ben Norton explains.
In this episode, we are talking with former US Ambassador to the USSR, Jack Matlock, about Georgia and the wider region.
It is absolutely clear that for all powers in the neighbourhood, a workable relationship with Russia is essential. Ambassador Matlock discusses the reasons for the instability, the domestic and international factors, and gives invaluable advice on how to do conflict resolution instead of conflict escalation.
Among many other achievements and postings, Ambassador Matlock served as the United States top diplomat to the Soviet Union from 1987–1991, with his duties in Moscow ending only months before the dissolution of the country itself.
He was famously working with President Reagan and Bush Senior to end the Cold War, which he keeps emphasising happened due to mutual agreement and good diplomacy, not because of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
