As Econ is increasingly being challenged for not adequately dealing with issues of racialization & imperialism, the "colonial turn" in economics that AJR represent seems to offer a defense. But they don't deal with the fundamental problem: the Eurocentric view of capitalism.

We argue that AJR actually reinforce Eurocentrism with their work. First, by neglecting the *global* nature of capitalist development and the central role of colonialism in it. Instead they consider colonialism a discrete external shock to the trajectory of domestic development.

Third, the AJR framework leads us to think of development as a techno-bureaucratic process of policy fixes, thus depoliticizing the process of capitalist development itself. As such, policy prescriptions are reduced to adopting the "right" kinds of domestic institutions.

Para os racists, o fato de seres fácil de ser comprado justifica a ilusão de superioridade deles, e nunca passarás de um “preto” por isso também.
O significado só não é aparente para si.

Ordinary Palestinian civilians are doing more important journalism filming their own genocide from the windows of their homes than the entire western press has done for an entire year. https://t.co/2DbAoeq1Bl
