CGTN Africa: Botswana rice farmers welcome drought-resistant varieties from China
Since 2020, Chinese experts have partnered with their counterparts in Botswana to introduce drought-resistant rice varieties in the country. Initial trials show yields of at least 3.5 tons per hectare, boosting harvests. Plans are underway to distribute seeds across the country.
