Paraphrasing Cabral "one of the metrics for our stiff resistance to our oppression is how much our culture is different from our oppressors ". Education plays a major role in that assimilation and normalisation of oppression.

Yep! In this passage of Ake’s book he actually quoted Cabral to describe an example of the colonized petit bourgeoisie who joined the struggle after seeing these contradictions emerge in their professional lives. Let me find the quote….
