Shrek 4 and Madagascar 3 Character Deformations from David Otte on Vimeo.

This is some deformation work that I did for one of the Ogre's in Shrek 4, and for Marty the zebra in Madagascar 3.

I was responsible for all the body deformations shown in this video, in addition the the cloth depicted on the Ogres.

It should be noted that the ogre kilts were just 'stuck on', as they were to be simulated by the clothing department.

Anatomy Of The Spine - For Artists

Anatomy of the Spine for Artists Whether you’re drawing, sculpting, modelling, or rigging it is very important to understand anatomy and more specifically, the literal backbone of the body, the spine. Proko shares this look at the “Spine - for Artists”

Tangent Spine Rig from Armin Halac on Vimeo.

Combining the best out of FK and IK spine rigs and adding even more. Maximum control with only a couple of spine controls and making it easy to quickly pose the character in fluid and natural looking poses. No layered controls and counter rotating.
