This lecture was given during Braxton's famous 4-night run of concerts at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City in March 2006 with his 12+1tet. Excerpts from this lecture were previously featured in the "What Kind of 'Tet?" documentary by Jason Guthartz included in the 12-CD boxset 9 Compositions (Iridium) 2006 released on Firehouse 12 Records.
